  1. Initial Meeting:

    1-2 hours to discuss your birth plan, preferences, and address any questions or concerns.

  2. Prenatal Visits:

    Two prenatal visits, 1-2 hours each, to build a relationship, provide emotional support, and discuss your birth intentions in detail.

  3. Continuous Labor Support:

    24/7 on call support starting from 37 weeks until birth.

    Continuous physical, emotional, and informational support during labor and delivery.

  4. Birth Support:

    Hands on assistance with guidance and techniques with positioning, comfort measures and relaxation methods.

  5. Partner Support:

    Guidance for your partner to be actively involved and supportive.

  6. Immediate Post Birth Support:

    Up to 4 hours of immediate support after baby is born. Ensuring and advocating for skin to skin and latching support.

  7. Post Birth Visit:

    A follow-up visit within the first week to discuss the birth experience, provide postpartum care tips, and support breastfeeding if need be.

  8. Local referrals to additional services such as lactation consultants, pediatricians, and support groups as requested.

    Total Package Price $1050-$1690 (varies based on location and needs).

1. Emotional Support:

Offer compassionate listening and encouragement to help parent(s) navigate the emotional and psychological adjustments of postpartum life. Provide reassurance, address concerns, and help manage stress and anxiety.

2. Physical Recovery Assistance:

Provide guidance on physical recovery after childbirth, including advice on postpartum self-care, gentle exercises, and managing common issues like fatigue, pain, or discomfort.

3. Infant Care Support: Assist with newborn care by offering tips and techniques for feeding, diapering, soothing, and establishing sleep routines.

4. Nutritional Guidance:

Offer suggestions for maintaining a healthy diet to support physical recovery and energy levels as well a provide advice on nutrition that supports breastfeeding.

5. Educational Resources:

Provide information and resources on various topics related to postpartum care, breastfeeding, infant care, and adjusting to parenthood.

6 Breastfeeding Support:

Offer support and guidance for breastfeeding, including positioning, latch techniques, and troubleshooting common issues. Can also provide referrals to lactation consultants if needed or requested.

7. Emotional and Mental Health Resources:

Offer referrals to mental health professionals if needed, and provide support in recognizing and managing postpartum mood disorders such as depression or anxiety.

Sibling support can be a great addition to your family needs to care for older brothers and sisters while you focus on bringing a new baby into the world.

How can we help?

1. Arriving when parent(s) request care

2. Entertaining, playing with, and comforting a child(ren)

3. Making sure the child(ren) get food, hydration, and rest (nap or bed)

4. Creating special memories for the family unit

5. Helping siblings adapt to a new family member through interactions and affirmations.

Janessa is a dedicated and ambitious student in her second year of junior high school. Passionate about family and community, she consistently seeks opportunities to expand her skills and make a positive impact on those around her. With two years of babysitting experience, Janessa has provided educational, nurturing, and supportive care to young children and toddlers, working closely with families to meet the unique needs of each child.

Recently, Janessa has expanded her experience to include sibling support services, designed to help families who are preparing to welcome a new child. Her role focuses on supporting older siblings, ensuring they feel cared for and included during this important transition. Janessa's approach is both compassionate and professional, helping families ease into this new chapter with confidence.

She has also completed a leadership program at Ottawa University, where she honed her skills in supervising children’s summer camps, managing group activities, and facilitating sports. Alongside her leadership development, Janessa has attained her First Aid and CPR B certification, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children she cares for.
